News & Updates

8th Grade Families,

As noted in the past 2 Family Newsletters, on the evening of Friday, June 22nd, at 5:30pm, CCSC will host an 8th Grade Ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of the 8th grade class and celebrate the successes on the year with loved ones at the Museum of Science.

Please join us as we celebrate a few stand out 8th grade award winners, and recognize every 8th grader in front of our wonderful CCSC community.

We are so thankful for the Museum of Science being our gracious hosts for the event, which will take place from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.

Please register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ccsc-8th-grade-ceremony-tickets-47093307350

Due to a maximum capacity of less than 300 guests, we must limit the number of guests for each student to 4 tickets. After the event, guests will be permitted to tour the museum free of charge. And parking is free with validation.

Please join us in celebrating the achievements of CCSC's Class of 2018 at their graduation!

Senior Internship Exhibition Night

All of our seniors are required to complete a 100-hour internship during the spring semester of their senior year.  This is required in order to graduate.  Each senior must also present on their experience.  Each is assessed by staff and members of the general public.  This external accountability keeps seniors, and our school community, honest.  The Internship Presentations are on Wednesday, May 30.  Feel free to invite others, too.

Date: 5/30 Time: 5:00pm - 7:30pm Location: Google Cambridge Please RSVP here.

<REPEAT>

Due to the winter storm expected to arrive Wednesday evening, we have decided to call a delayed start to the school day tomorrow, Thursday, March 22.

Doors will open at 10 AM, with Morning Meeting beginning at 10:20 AM. We will then resume a regular school day, including serving lunch at the normal time.

For students who take the school bus, there will be no morning bus service.

We will continue to monitor snow accumulation, road conditions, and the storm’s timeline. Should we decide to cancel school tomorrow, we will inform families by 8 AM. Stay tuned, and stay dry, warm, and safe.

Due to forecasted winter storm conditions, students will be dismissed at 11:55 AM on Wednesday, March 21. All after-school activities are canceled.

As long as Cambridge Public Schools remains open, there will be school bus service in the morning and at noon. We will not have a lunch period, but will have a small number of lunches available to students who wish to bring one home with them.

We will continue to monitor snow accumulation, road conditions, and the storm’s timeline. Should we decide to cancel school, we will inform you as early as possible. Stay tuned, and stay dry, warm, and safe.
