Transportation

For Middle School Students Living in Cambridge

For Cambridge students in Grades 6 through 8, transportation is provided by the Cambridge Public Schools Department of Transportation. Students who live more than 1.5 miles from school are picked up and dropped off free of charge.

For High School Students Living in Cambridge

Students in grades 9 through 12 get to CCSC in a variety of ways. Many students take public transportation. CCSC is located within seven minutes of the Kendall Square Red Line station and within ten minutes of the Lechmere station on the Green Line. MBTA passes are provided at a discounted rate to students. Other students are either dropped off and picked up by parents or guardians or commute on foot.

 

For Students Living Outside of Cambridge

Transportation options for residents of other cities mirror those for students in grades 9 through 12 who live in Cambridge. Students use the MBTA or rely on parents and guardians who drop them off and/or pick them up.

MBTA discount passes are provided to students and families the last 5 days of each month.
