Destiney is originally from Rockland County, New York and attended St John's University in Queens where she majored in criminal justice and minored in international studies and psychology. During her time at St. John's, she studied abroad where she had the opportunity to teach English in Seville, Spain. Before joining the team at CCSC, Destiney completed a teaching fellowship at Prospect Hill Academy, where she received her Masters in Curriculum and Teaching with a track in Middle School Mathematics from Boston University. After her fellowship, she taught 6th and 7th grade at Prospect Hill Academy. She is also a Sci-Ed Fellow practicing the democratic style of teaching.
