Letter from the Athletic Director

Greetings from the Home of the Cougars, and welcome to another exciting year of Athletics!

I am proud to be in my second year as the Athletic Director at the Community Charter School of Cambridge (CCSC).  I am very fortunate to be a member of a community complete with Rigor, High Standards, and Dedication that surrounds this great school.  It is a true honor to welcome you to an environment that cultivates academic and athletic accomplishment while embracing Excellence, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

CCSC Athletics is a proud member of the Massachusetts Charter School Athletic Organization (M.C.S.A.O) and fields boys and girls athletic programs, in 9 different sports.  In the past year, CCSC has had the most student athletic participation in the past ten years with 44% of our students engaged in at least one sport.  Some students have excelled in up to four sports within one year.

The CCSC mission focuses on the complete success of our students, and I have always been a firm believer that interscholastic athletics is an immense part of excelling in an educational setting. Our student-athletes push for excellence in their sports. They work hard to fulfill their potential in the classroom and on the playing surfaces, and have become leaders and role models within our school community and beyond. Our Head of School, Principals, Administrators, Faculty and Staff are committed to get the most out of our STUDENT-athletes.

I work with a winning team in the athletics department, from the office to the field. We have passionate coaches who care and have the expertise to coach.  In past seasons, many of our coaches have been members of the staff and faculty at CCSC.

The Community Charter School of Cambridge has been working towards a tradition of athletic success. We had our most successful overall athletic experience in competition, growing number of teams, student participation and fan support over the last year.

Our coaches, athletic department staff members, and I are always happy to talk with you about our programs and answer any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to contact myself and coaches.

GO COUGARS!
